Introductory Course in Pediatric Oncology for Registrars/Residents and Medical Officers in Sub-Saharan Africa: A Pilot Study.

A shortage of pediatric oncologists limits teaching and supervision of registrars/residents and medical officers working in pediatric oncology units. Our aim was to develop and pilot a blended, introductory course in pediatric oncology in Zimbabwe and Zambia comprising self-paced online modules and case-based discussions. The self-paced course was subsequently adopted in South Africa.

In spite of this, the cercozoan phylogeny remains poorly resolved by SSU rRNA gene analysis, and omics data are available for only a few well-characterized species.

Diffuse leptomeningeal glioneuronal tumors (DLGNTs) are rare, and optimal treatment remains undefined. We aim to comprehensively characterize their clinical and molecular features, offering granular insights into presentations and therapies to elucidate prognostic factors and therapeutic targets. Histologic, molecular, and clinical data of 30 patients with DLGNT were analyzed.
