Surgical robots capable of autonomously performing various tasks could enhance efficiency and augment human productivity in addressing clinical needs. Although current solutions have automated specific actions within defined contexts, they are challenging to generalize across diverse environments in general surgery. Embodied intelligence enables general-purpose robot learning with applications for daily tasks, yet its application in the medical domain remains limited.

Solving the immortality mechanism represents a major step toward selective reversal in cancer cells. TERT promoter (TERTp) mutations create a de novo E26 transformation-specific (ETS) transcription factor binding motif.

The aim of this study was to characterize patients with metabolic-associated steatotic liver disease who underwent liver biopsy in South Texas and had at least 1 contemporaneous NIT result available to determine the accuracy of NITs as compared to liver biopsy in accurately staging fibrosis and steatosis.

This study aimed to identify areas of consensus and discordance in the management strategies employed by Canadian healthcare providers caring for patients with acute SCI.
Methods: A comprehensive multi-stage survey was developed and administered to healthcare providers actively involved in the management of acute SCI, including neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, intensive care specialists, trauma surgeons, and emergency medicine physicians.

Naked mole-rats (NMR, ) are the longest-lived rodent species, with a maximum life span of more than 30 years. These long-lived mammals exhibit delayed aging phenotypes and resistance to age-related pathologies including neurodegeneration. Multiple regulatory pathways have been proposed for the anti-aging mechanisms in NMR including enhanced mitochondrial function and suppressed oxidative stress.
