The traditional structural transformation narrative emphasizes intersectoral labour reallocation out of agriculture, ignoring whether workers exit agrifood value chains or merely migrate within them. Here we decompose multiregional input-output table data into industry- and country-specific annual labour value-added estimates by final consumer market segment, matching them with industry-specific employment data to estimate average worker compensation. Using data covering most of the global economy over 1993-2021, we report ten stylized facts about labour reallocation amid structural transformation.

Myelin and myelin water (MW) behavior is becoming increasingly relevant in their role in neurodegenerative diseases. Myelin proton fraction (MPF) and myelin water fraction (MWF) measured with short-TR adiabatic inversion-recovery (STAIR) sequences are potential biomarkers of myelin and MW, respectively, but their repeatabilities are unknown. This study aims to evaluate the repeatability of MPF and MWF measured with the STAIR ultrashort echo time (STAIR-UTE) and STAIR short echo time (STAIR-STE) sequences, respectively.

Background: Severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) is a life-threatening condition requiring early risk stratification. While the Bedside Index for Severity in Acute Pancreatitis (BISAP) is widely used, its reliance on complex parameters limits its applicability in resource-constrained settings. This study introduces a decision tree model based on Classification and Regression Tree (CART) analysis, utilizing Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR) and C-reactive Protein (CRP), as a simpler alternative for early SAP prediction.

Performance and Perceptual Responses to Cluster Sets in Pneumatic-Resistance Exercises: Impact of Exercise Selection, Sex, and Strength.

Purpose: This study examined the effects of cluster sets (CS) versus traditional sets (TRAD) on performance and perceptual responses during pneumatic chest press (CP) and leg press (LP). Exercise-specific differences and the influence of sex and strength were also explored.

Methods: Forty-seven recreationally resistance-trained young adults (23 male and 24 female) performed CP and LP at 70% 1-repetition maximum in either CS (4 × [2 × 5], 30-s intraset rest, 150 s between sets) or TRAD (4 × 10, 180-s rest between sets) in randomized order.
