Objectives: Anogenital warts (AGW) are a common manifestation of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. As HPV vaccination programs expand, updated data are needed to assess the ongoing global AGW burden. This systematic review examined AGW epidemiology, clinical impact, and economic burden, analyzing 187 studies from 49 countries by income level, sex, and age.

A novel azithromycin resistance mutation in Mycoplasma genitalium induced in vitro.

Background: Mycoplasma genitalium is a sexually transmitted bacterium of increasing concern due to issues around antimicrobial resistance. Resistance is typically mediated by SNPs; however, the difficulty of isolation and culture of M. genitalium limits the ability to analyse the impact of individual mutations.

Evolving patterns of macrolide and fluoroquinolone resistance in Mycoplasma genitalium: an updated systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: Over the past 5 years, since publication of the initial review, studies have provided additional data on macrolide and fluoroquinolone resistance in Mycoplasma genitalium, including data from regions previously lacking this information.
