Limocitrin induced cellular death through ERK pathways in human oral squamous cell cancer.

This study sought to investigate the anticancer efficacy of limocitrin on two distinct human oral cancer cell lines. At first, we evaluated the effect of limocitrin on the proliferation of OSCC cells (SCC-9 and SCC-47) using MTT and colony formation assays. Limocitrin treatment increased cell cycle arrest at G2/M phase, induced caspase-related apoptosis (cleaved caspase-3, caspase-8, caspase-9 and PARP expression) in OSCC cells.

An innovation percutaneous needle knife use for trigger finger: A retrospective cohort study.

Objectives: This study retrospectively evaluated the effectiveness of percutaneous pulley release by our newly designed needle knife in terms of cure, relapse, and complication rates.

Impact of near-miss event during pregnancy and childbirth on maternal health at 12 months.

Objective: To assess the impact of maternal near-miss on late maternal death and the prevalence of hypertension or chronic kidney disease (CKD) and mental health problems at 12 months of follow up.

Methods: This prospective cohort study was conducted in a tertiary hospital in the southeastern region of India from May 2018 to August 2019, enrolling those with maternal near-miss and with follow up for 12 months. The primary outcomes were incidence of late maternal deaths and prevalence of hypertension and CKD during follow up.

Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is the sixth most common cancer worldwide. Although cisplatin-based chemotherapy is commonly used in HNSCC, frequent development of cisplatin resistance is a potential cause of poor HNSCC prognosis. In the present study, we investigated the anticancer efficacy of a major paclitaxel metabolite namely 7-Epitaxol in cisplatin-resistant HNSCC.
