Background: Despite the rise in the burden of heart failure (HF), there seems to be poor level of awareness concerning the syndrome particularly in the lowand middle-income countries. This study sought to determine the level of awareness of HF among patients attending cardiology clinic in a big tertiary institution in South Western Nigeria.
Methods: Patients attending the Cardiology clinic at University College Hospital, Ibadan were recruited.
Background: Inflammation might predispose to worse outcomes after an ischemic stroke. This has not been characterized among indigenous Africans.
Purpose: We investigated the association between inflammatory biomarkers, stroke severity, and outcomes in Africans.
This narrative review examines how declining vaccine uptake and growing vaccine hesitancy created pockets of susceptibility that enabled the outbreak and analyzes the epidemiological features and public health response. Key drivers of vaccine hesitancy (misinformation about vaccine safety, philosophical and religious exemptions, and pandemic-related disruptions) are discussed, along with the demographic patterns of under-vaccination in the U.S.

Background: Urbanization and intensifying interactions between humans, animals, and the environment present complex challenges for One Health, particularly in regions like Central Nigeria. This study investigates the dynamics of human-animal-environment interfaces within a Nigerian abattoir during the ongoing SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, focusing on zoonotic transmission pathways and multispecies interactions.
