Introduction: The relationship between Vitamin D (VitD) levels and cognitive function in young adults remains unclear, with conflicting results in existing literature. This study aimed to assess the prevalence of VitD deficiency and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and to explore the correlation between serum VitD levels and cognitive functions in young indigenous adults in Meghalaya.

Methods: A hospital-based cross-sectional study was conducted in a tertiary care centre in Shillong, Meghalaya, involving 137 healthy young individuals associated with the centre.

Minoritized individuals are underrepresented in the allied health professions, several of which require a graduate degree to become a certified practitioner. The purpose of this study was to identify the factors related to persistence into graduate school for minoritized undergraduate students within a college of allied health in a predominantly white institution in the southeastern United States. Via focus groups, 11 juniors and seniors were interviewed about their experiences and perspectives related to pursuing graduate-level education.

Background: Degenerative joint disease is a chronic condition marked by the gradual breakdown in the articular cartilage, together with alterations in the underlying bone and surrounding soft tissues, leading to ongoing joint deterioration. This investigation was conducted to evaluate the differences between efficacy of injectable platelet rich fibrin (I-PRF) versus platelet rich plasma (PRP) injection in degenerative temporomandibular joint (TMJ).

This study investigated patients' perceptions of laser-assisted esthetic crown lengthening (ECL) for treating "gummy smiles" using either an open-flap (OF) or flapless (FL) technique. This study included 36 healthy patients with altered passive eruption who underwent ECL surgery and were randomly divided into two equal groups: OF and FL. Gingivectomy and ostectomy were performed using an Er, Cr:YSGG laser in both groups.
